A Fun-Filled Visit To Tanganyika Wildlife Park 🦘🦏

My family just got back from an adventure to Tanganyika Wildlife Park. While there, we chatted with several others that were visiting from all over the country (Indiana, Miami, and KC like us!). Everyone came for the same reason- to experience a wildlife park like no other! And guess what, everyone there had the biggest smiles on their faces because of the amazing time they were having at the park!

Our family has visited several zoos and wildlife parks around the country, and we can honestly say that Tanganyika is our favorite. Having real encounters with so many animals is what sets it apart. Where else can you have lemurs sit on your lap while you feed them, pet kangaroos, feed a rhino, a pygmy hippo, giraffes, bunnies, tortoises, etc all with the price of admission?!

Complete breakfast meals, snacks, lunches, fountain drinks, and even beer tickets are also ALL included in that ticket price.

If you want to add on even more β€œbehind the scenes” animal experiences for special occasions, you can do that too, but you can make SO many amazing memories with just regular admission prices!

And let’s be honest- most people have spent hundreds, if not more, on sports tickets, concert tickets, etc. Add in food and parking fees at events and you are spending quite a bit! All of that is included in your ticket price to Tanganyika.

Now, let’s talk about the ease of getting to Tanganyika Wildlife Park! It’s around a 3 hour drive from KC, so the only transportation cost would be gas and tolls. There are also a few great options for staying overnight. We have loved using points from our favorite bank at the Hyatt Regency. It’s a category 1 hotel, so nights run just about 5,000 points a night for a nice hotel! There is also a great Hyatt Place in Wichita that is also a category 1. A final option is the Hampton Inn that is just a couple minutes from the park! This hotel is only about a couple years old and has great cash rates. But if you have Hilton points, you can use those as well! The Hampton Inn is attached to Blast Off Bay, a really fun indoor water park. So you could pair this with a visit to Tanganyika for a great family weekend trip!

When you are able to use points for the stay, and spend just a few dollars for gas and tolls, it makes the trip super affordable!

One of our favorite things to do has been to gift our daughter a visit to Wichita and Tanyanyika for a birthday or Christmas gift. We love gifting her experiences that she can cash in throughout the year, rather than just accumulating more β€œstuff.” These experiences have made for some core memories that have been so special for our family!

Tanganyika really is one of our family’s favorite places!
