We are super excited about the new airport lounge at Kansas City International Airport (MCI)! We have gotten so many questions about how to get access to the airport lounge, so we wanted to explain more about the Escape Lounge as well as how you can access it.
The new Escape Lounge at MCI includes: complimentary fresh food and drinks throughout the day, is family friendly (0-24 months may enter free of charge), has amenities to help you relax, charge devices, access fast wifi, print and scan copies, and more!
To obtain lounge access, you have a couple of options. You can pay the entry fee of $29.95 a person or you can have the right credit card in your wallet and enter free of charge! There are a few cards that can grant you access to the lounge, but the one we recommend most is the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.
We love the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card for many reasons, and lounge access is one of them! There are a couple steps to take for lounge access after approval.
- Create your online account.
- You should receive an email within a few days of approval about the Priority Pass benefit. Priority Pass is simply an airport lounge pass that allows you access to over 1,700+ lounges and experiences. You can also follow this link to create your Priority Pass account.
- Once you have created your account using your card number, you can save the pass in your digital wallet on your phone. You will also receive a card in the mail within a few days.
- Once you are set up, you now have lounge access for yourself and 2 guests!
- If your family is larger than 3, you can add an authorized user to your account (typically a spouse). They would also get lounge access for themselves and 2 guests. Essentially, this would grant a family of 6- lounge access for all!
Having this new lounge in KC is a game changer! Free food and drinks and a place to relax before a flight will help elevate the travel experience and can save you so much money!
