🚘My family just took this easy trip south for the weekend. It’s just a short 3+ hour drive from KC! Check out our favorite places to Stay, Play, and Eat! (#hosted)
🛌STAY: We stayed at the most chic and modern hotel, Motto by Hilton Bentonville. We stayed in a “bunkie” room. Our daughter thought the bunked-loft was so fun! Another favorite thing were all of the records in the lobby. They even have a record player to use. With all of the technology we have now, it was fun to see our 10-year old spend about a half hour excited to search the stacks and learn to play a variety of songs on it! Motto is also right off the square in Bentonville, so it was in the perfect location to walk to dinner and see some sights.

🏪PLAY: We packed in quite about during our visit! On Friday evening, we visited the free Wal-Mart museum. It has interactive exhibits, galleries, and information about Sam Walton’s vision. It also includes the cutest 5&10 with classic finds like games and toys. Attached to the museum is the Spark Cafe. It had the yummiest ice cream for the best prices! Scoops of ice cream were just about $1.30!

⚾On Saturday, we visited with extended family for part of the day, but also did a lot of exploring in the afternoon. We stopped by the Scott Family Amazeum. It’s such a great place for kids with so many hands-on exhibits that make learning come to life! If you have never been, it has a feel of Wonderscope and Science City. That evening we headed to Arvest Ballpark to watch the Royals minor league AA affiliate team, the Naturals. It really is such a great ballpark! If you have never been to a minor league game, I highly recommend it! They are so family friendly and always make for such a fun time!

🖼️Before we headed back on Sunday, we visited Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. We love this art museum! It has so many pieces inside the museum and along paths and trails outside. It’s such a unique place! We were even able to check out the KAWS temporary exhibit and the Frank Lloyd Wright Bachman- Wilson house.

🍽️EAT: We enjoyed a lot of good food while on our visit! Bentonville has such a great selection of foodie restaurants and coffee shops. The Buttered Biscuit was probably our favorite restaurant of the trip! Whether you want to grab breakfast, brunch, or lunch, the food is delicious! An inexpensive and easy option we enjoyed was The Flying Fish. It is a super casual fish and shrimp place right off the square. And finally, Eleven, the lunch restaurant at Crystal Bridges, is the perfect spot with a gorgeous atmosphere and beautiful views.

Our family has visited Bentonville before, and we really just love the area! Bentonville has such character and is such a unique place. It has so many family-friendly attractions, but is also great for a couples get-away. If you love the outdoors, it has so many amazing trails and bike paths that we didn’t even check out this time! It can also be a perfect trip for a weekend with friends.
