My family just had the BEST overnight stay at Lied Lodge at Arbor Day Farm!
If you are looking to get off screens and connect with your family, Arbor Day Farm is the perfect place! It’s just a quick 2-hour drive from KC to Nebraska City. And, everything you need is all in one place!
The Experience: Arbor Day Farm has so much to offer! The most popular experience for families is the Tree Adventure! Picture a series of treehouses connected by bridges and netted walkways. It’s the coolest nature experience! There are so many additional hands-on things to do, as well as hiking trails. The 55 acre Arbor Day Farm Historical park includes the historical Morton mansion, garden, and well-maintained trails upon trail.
The Stay: We enjoyed our cozy room at Lied Lodge right on site! Our family enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. Additionally, you can relax at the spa or work out in the fitness center. We also loved exploring the gift shops and the seasonal/local market finds at Apple House Market. We made sure to grab apple cider slushies on the way out!
The Dining: We enjoyed a delicious brunch at Timbers, one of three on-site restaurants. You can also enjoy BBQ and sandwiches at Porter’s or a curated menu of food and drinks at Library Lounge.
What we really loved about our adventure to Arbor Day Farm was that everything was in one place. We have had such a busy season of life with a lot going on, and this get-away gave us just what we needed- time to relax, play, laugh, and just enjoy being with one another surrounded by beautiful scenery.
