Favorite Travel Apps

Travel apps are a great way to stay organized and save you time while traveling with points and miles! There are so many great apps out there, and many I haven’t even dabbled in myself. But, I’ll share just a few that I find super helpful.

Travel Freely

The Travel Freely app is used by so many award travelers. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if it would use it that much, but the more cards my husband and I have opened, the more useful I have found it! This app is great for keeping track of the cards you have, 5/24 status, when you opened credit cards, and when annual fees are due. It allows you to put in yourself, as well as your Player 2, so it can really help you stay organized. The app also gives you travel card recommendations and has a lot of valuable resources to use when applying for cards, etc. You do not have to put in any personal information regarding yourself or credit cards, just general information to help you keep track of important credit card dates.

Travel Spend

I discovered the Travel Spend app this past summer. This app is great for budgeting and tracking expenses while traveling. You simply enter the amount you spend and the category where you spent the money (restaurants, groceries, shopping, transportation, etc.) You could enter the amounts as soon as you make a purchase, use your receipts, or track your transactions on your credit card. This app has been great to help me know how much our family typically spends in different categories to help budget for the future. I know others use it to make sure they stay on track or on budget during their trips.

Southwest

This is a given, but the app is great for so many reasons when flying Southwest. You can use the Southwest app to book flights, quickly get points back if the cost of your flight goes down, and add your companion. You can use this app to check-in for your flights, check bags, upgrade your boarding, track flight status, and more!

World of Hyatt

This is another one that isn’t a big surprise. The Hyatt app is helpful to book stays, keep track of your upcoming stays, and check-in. You can keep track of your qualifying nights, check your point balance, and see what awards you have available.

There are so many other helpful apps out there to help you find award stays, such as: Max My Point, Point.Me, Google Flights, TPG app, and more!
